Vermehrung durch Teilen / propagation by dividing plants

Die meisten Lithops lassen sich gut durch das Teilen einer mehrköpfigen Pflanze vermehren. Dabei ist unbedingt darauf zu achten, dass ein Teil der Wurzel an jedem Steckling verbleibt ( es reicht ein Stummel ) , auch wenn das heißt, das die gemeinsame Wurzel in der Mitte geteilt werden muss. Einige Tage gut abtrocknen lassen und einfach in das Kultursubstrat stecken. Ideal ist das nach dem Einziehen der alten Loben im Frühjahr.

So in fact you have to cut the root in the middle longitudinal. Let the cuttings dry carfully for a few days, then cultivate them as any other of your Lithops plants - do not overwater! Best time in spring, when the old leaves has dehydrated completely.
